PRODUCT DETAILS
A car camping awning in two canopy sizes, 3 × 1.5 m and 3 × 4.5 m, weighing 2 kg. Oxford fabric with a five-layer black coating, 1500 mm waterproof rating, UV50+, iron poles and suction cup mounting — no roof rack needed.
Two sizes, two modes
The canopy comes in 3 × 1.5 m and 3 × 4.5 m. The small size suits a rear-door setup, where the canopy runs back from the tailgate and covers the cooking area. The large size suits a side setup, where 4.5 m runs along the body and covers the doors, the chairs and the table. That is what makes it work as a car side awning and as a rear awning from the same bag — the poles reposition rather than the canopy changing.
Five-layer black coating
The fabric is Oxford cloth built in five layers: a lotus-leaf water-repellent face rated at four levels of water repellency, a reinforced base fabric that resists tearing and wrinkling, a nano colour-retention layer using titanium dioxide, a thickened black coating that blocks UV, and a cured black-coating layer for heat insulation. Together those give a 1500 mm waterproof rating and UV50+. The double black coating is the part that matters in summer: a single-layer canopy blocks light but still transmits heat, which is why the space under it feels warm.
No roof rack needed
Strong suction cup hooks attach the canopy to the bodywork, so this vehicle awning needs no crossbars, no drilling and no rails. That is what makes it a portable awning you can use on a hire car, a van with a bare roof or a friend’s SUV. The hooks are supplied with the canopy, and they release without leaving a mark.
Iron poles and guy lines
The two poles are iron, thicker than the aluminium poles usually bundled at this price, with a metal hanging point at the top rather than a plastic cap. Guy lines run through adjustable windproof buckles, and the pegs glow in the dark so nobody walks into a line at night. For camping awning use on open ground, peg the windward side first, then tension the poles against it.
Room for one to five
The large canopy covers a group of one to five with chairs and a table underneath, and it packs to 2 kg, which is light enough to carry to a beach or a riverbank rather than using it only beside the car. As an overland awning it also works rigged flat as a sun sail when there are trees to tie off, and pitched low over a groundsheet it doubles as a tent awning.
